Long neck ice cold beer never broke Luke Combs’ heart… and neither did the Grand Ole Opry. The famed organization invited the singer to join its coveted ranks during Tuesday night’s (6/11) show.

In a video posted to the Opry’s Twitter page, Combs is joined by Opry members and fellow country stars Chris Janson, Craig Morgan and John Conlee. Morgan quickly praises the “Beer Never Broke My Heart” singer for his 16th appearance on the Opry stage before inviting him into the family.

As Morgan and Janson share the invitation, Combs is overcome with emotion, wiping away tears. The men quickly embrace their new brother, welcoming him to the family.

After initiating his invitation, Morgan, Janson and Conlee quickly make their way offstage so Combs can continue his Opry performance. Still speechless, the North Carolina native continues to wipe away tears and the expression of shock on his face.

In addition to his Opry invitation, Combs has had a big week. He debuted a slew of new music with his EP, The Prequel, and performed onstage during the 2019 CMA Fest during a solo slot and alongside one of his heroes, Tim McGraw. Combs continues to climb as one of country music’s brightest new superstars, selling out shows left and right for his Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour.
