Kane Brown teams with superstar producer/DJ Marshmello for the new track “One Thing Right,” an all-natural fusion of country heart and dance floor fire.

Co-written by the artists with Jesse Frasure, Josh Hoge and Matthew McGinn, the grooving track is Marshmello’s first collaboration with a country artist, built on laid-back beats and Brown’s effortless vocal flow. It features a tender message about past mistakes and missteps — and how none of that matters anymore.

“It tells you everything that I’ve done wrong growing up,” Brown explained to Billboard late last year, “and it’s saying that the one thing I did get right, was you.”

Brown and Marshmello first met at the 2018 AMA Awards, he says. The country hit maker had already written the song for his Experiment album, but it ended up on the cutting room floor. And that’s where Marsmello stepped in.

“Marshmello had reached out to say congratulations while I was at the AMAs,” Brown said. “I sent him the song and he ended up being really passionate about it, and said he wanted to even make it a single, so we ended up working on it together. I am a huge Marshmello fan and think he is an incredible artist in his space, so I am thrilled to be able to get to collaborate with him on this. It’s amazing seeing a song you wrote come to life like that.”

Following the hit single “Happier” with Bastille, Marshmello is currently performing in Las Vegas for an exclusive two-year engagement at KAOS Dayclub and Nightclub at the Palms Casino Resort. Meanwhile, Brown is out on Jason Aldean’s Ride All Night Tour, and the pair will take “One Thing Right” to Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series on August 30.
