Chris Stapleton Teams With Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars for ‘Blow’

Acclaimed country artist Chris Stapleton will be featured on pop superstar Ed Sheeran’s upcoming album release, joining forces with the “Shape of You” star and R&B icon Bruno Mars for a mind-“blowing” joint effort.
Announced by Sheeran Tuesday (June 18th) via social media, the unlikely trio are teaming up for the track, “Blow.” It closes Sheeran’s hotly-anticipated No. 6 Collaborations Project, due out July 12th.
Sheeran has not shared any audio of the Stapleton cut, revealing only the album’s official tracklist so far — which also includes collaborations with a huge range of superstars from multiple genres.
Kahlid, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Eminem, Travis Scott and Skrillx are among Sheeran’s guest artists, plus Justin Bieber (who appears on “I Don’t Care”) and Chance the Rapper (on “Cross Me”).
Sheeran announced the album in May, noting “Before I was signed in 2011, I made an EP called No.5 Collaborations Project. Since then, I’ve always wanted to do another, so I started No.6 on my laptop when I was on tour last year. I’m a huge fan of all the artists I’ve collaborated with and it’s been a lot of fun to make.”
While the move may have been seen as a stretch for many country artists, Stapleton already has a history of pop crossover success — notably with Justin Timberlake on Timberlake’s “Say Something,” but also with an appearance on P!nk’s “Love Me Anyway” earlier this year.
