Rising talent Adam Craig puts an extra coat of down-home gratitude on his latest single, “If You’re Lucky,” premiering an acoustic version of the memory-filled anthem exclusively with Sounds Like Nashville.

Using his voice like a flamethrower through the soft tissue of a small-town heart, Craig performs the track solo with just an acoustic guitar at Nashville’s Layman Drug Company studio. The Washington native shows off a deep and obvious connection to the song’s reflective lyrics (written by Chase McGill and Jessi Alexander), which find him looking back over a wild but oh-so-relatable country life and loving every minute.

“I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it,” Craig says. “We had a great time recording it in the studio. If you’re lucky you made memories like these in your town like I did mine.”

Signed to BBR/Stoney Creek Records, Craig first started turning heads as a songwriter, co-penning hits like Parmalee’s “Close Your Eyes” and fan favorites like Jason Adlean’s “Church Pew or Bar Stool,” among others. Since then he’s began breaking out as an artist in his own right, hitting the country radio charts with the emotionally fraught “Just a Phase” in 2017 and serving as an opening act on multiple tours with Luke Bryan.
